with us

Growth, as we see it, is relational - both our relationship within ourselves and our relationships with our therapist & larger community.

We believe that humans are wired toward growth and that growth happens in the context of safe & warm relationships. Our practice is grounded in attachment theory - we seek to develop secure attachments with our clients that serve as healing environments from past relational trauma and misalignments. Our practice is also grounded in the theoretical orientation of Internal Family Systems - we believe each of our clients has access to a sturdy & grounded Self from which we can live with curiosity & compassion, clarity & confidence. Together, without judgment and with a generous spirit, we will explore the multifaceted parts of yourself and the workings of your internal world.

At the systemic level, our therapists are deeply aware of how societal injustices, oppression, and stigmatization have negatively impacted the communities and mental health of those we serve. The therapists at Perennial are committed to affirmative practice, especially for those with stigmatized identities - we see our work in the therapy room as an opportunity to re-center narratives through an inclusive, feminist, antiracist, anti-oppressive lens.

“I dive into the well of my body and end up in another world

Everything I need already exists within me

There is no need to look anywhere else”
